Professional Overview
I have extensive proven experience in river management and geomorphology including working for the Environment Agency and its predecessor bodies, central government and then in consultancy (Gifford, Jacobs and AECOM).
I have successfully blended my practical experience with robust scientific approaches and produced several peer-reviewed papers, world renowned reference books (see links below) and subsequently lectured throughout the UK, Europe and the world. I have also led the development of the current industry standard practices such as Fluvial Audit.
