Expert at identifying sediment sources, transfers/ exchanges and sinks, ranging from coarse deposits (derived from flow/ wave erosion) to fine sediment from diffuse and point sources in rural catchments (such as cattle poaching). Can characterize or measure riverine and beach sediment size and shape. Considerable experience of producing fluvial audits, ‘wet weather’ surveys and sediment management plans. Use of hydraulic equations and modelling outputs to determine sediment entrainment and movement.
